Intro to yoga

In the Intro to Yoga class, you will explore some of the basic postures and breathing techniques that make up the practice of Hatha yoga. Students will learn about the basics of proper alignment and technique. Emphasis will be placed on core strength, flexibility and balance, as well as concentration and breath control. This class is based on physical postures (asanas), deep breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body.

Vinyasa/Core Yoga

Vinyasa/Core Yoga integrates the linking of dynamic asanas with the popular form of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates. This unique class will not only challenge your core but it will also build heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and concentration.

Mixed level Yoga

Mixed Level Yoga welcomes all levels of experience but leans towards challenging the physical body to pursue deeper edges by inserting the breath deeply into our posture work. Each class includes elements of centering, breath work, posture holds, flows, inversions, and savasana. Level I experience not necessary but fewer modifications will be offered during instruction. You will leave class feeling centered and physically liberated.

Iyengar I & II

Iyengar Yoga is known for its focus on the structural alignment of the physical body and the use of props during asana practice.   The props enable students to perform the asanas correctly minimizing the risk of injury or strain. The development of strength, mobility and stability are key components that call students of all levels to dive deeply into their practice.  Ultimately, it aims to unite the body, mind and spirit for optimal health and well-being.

Gentle Yoga

During this Gentle Yoga practice you will experience gentle restorative poses and deep relaxation. Focus on pranayama breathing techniques and meditation will provide a stillness to the body & mind for internal balance and healing. Slow down the pace, release tension & pain, and restore your energy with gentle yoga. Incorporates restorative asana into a slow, meditative, calm practice. Perfect for beginners or advanced students to welcome soft openings and mind-body awareness.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is designed to complement active styles of yoga like Vinyasa and Power Yoga. Long-held soothing postures calm the mind and stretch deeply into the joints, improving mobility, countering the effects of aging and preparing the body for seated meditation.

Power Yoga

This Power Yoga class is kicked up just a few notches for those who are looking for a "powerful vinyasa" yoga class. In this challenging class you will tap into deeper levels of not only the physical body, but also the energy body. You might experience just a little sweat on your brow, but that is a beautiful thing now isn't it?

Lunch Time Yoga

Lunch Time Yoga is a mixed level class of Hatha Yoga. This means that all levels of students are welcome. The class is designed to help rejuvenate and stimulate the mind and the body so that the rest of the work day is met with a fresh perspective. This class is not a “super-sweaty” vinyasa flow class so folks can return to work without feeling like they need to shower!
